About Rhubarb Jam
Rhubarb Jam is a community of "homeschooling" families
who have come together since 2002. The original families started out meeting monthly in a community center and now, along with 501c-3 nonprofit status, we have grown to a second location. We now meet in Frederick and Germantown.
We are an eclectic, secular, and inclusive group of families from Frederick, Montgomery, and other counties. We value fun, learning of all types, independence and cooperation.
Below is our purpose as stated in our bylaws:
Rhubarb Jam is a non-profit organization made up of and dedicated to serving homeschooling families. Our purpose is:
- To promote a safe, inclusive, secular and cooperative community for persons of all ages involved in home education to interact in an atmosphere of respect and tolerance; and
- To coordinate opportunities for people of all ages to share knowledge, educational, social and economic resources.
